The day that fans of Division One College Baseball has finally arrived. Many hours of practice in the cold for the players of each team will finally give way to the day they have been looking foward to, which is the day they finally get to play against a team wearing a different colored uniform.

LSU begins the defense of its National Championship as they will open the 2010 campaign at home against Centenary. Texas, a heavy favorite in 2010 and ranked #1 in the National Collegiate Baseball Poll will open against New Mexico in Austin.

Two top 30 teams will square off to open the season. The third ranked Virginia Cavaliers will be tested early as they travel to face #16 East Carolina on the road. FIfth ranked Rice will also be tested early when they travel to California to face #30 Stanford.

Florida State will open against a Georgia State team was that in post season in 2009, and looks to start strong in their quest to return to Omaha. Tenth ranked Florida opens against instate rival South Florida in Gainesville. Miami will open the season at home against Rutgers.
