With the approach of the 2010 College Football Season, its time to start talking about how the Florida Schools will do. This series will not only focus on the big three schools in Florida (UF, FSU, and Miami), but will also look at the other schools as well. To start we are going to look at the quarterbacks of the big three.

Florida State recently launched a Heisman Campaign for Senior QB Christian Ponder, and he could be a serious contender if the Seminoles under new head coach Jimbo Fisher do well. With a veteran offensive line, and a solid group of wide recievers and running backs, the Seminole offense looks to be loaded and dangerous. Last season before he was injured in the game against Clemson, Ponder posted the sixth-best season for total offense in ACC History with 321.8 yards per game. Coming into the 2010 season, Ponder begins the season among the 10 ten quarterbacks statistically in the history of FSU.

Travelling down the road to Gainesville, the Florida Gators may have the biggest question mark of the big three schools at the signal caller position, as they lost 2009 Heisman winner Tim Tebow to graduation. Don't expect much a drop off in the talent at the QB position, as John Brantley looks pretty good as many expect him to be one of the best pure passers in the conference.

For Miami, they have a solid quarterback in Jacory Harris, who is looking to bounce back from a roller coaster season where he looked like a Heisman Candidate one moment to a quarterback that needed bench time at others. Look for Harris to cut down on his mistakes and for him to be a big part of a high powered offense.
