What can we expect from the Boston College Eagles in 2010? Last season, the Eagles had to rely on a new freshman quarterback in the wake of Matt Ryan's graduation. Can 26-year old sophomore Dave Shinskie and redshirt junior Montell Harris lead the offense? What about the defense for BC? Can they replace five fifth year players?

In looking at the offense, as mentioned, Boston College will be led by a 26-year old sophomore who was originally drafted to play pro-baseball, but he elected to return to school to play football. Shinskie earned the starting spot early last season and started the last 10 games. He appeared in all 13 games, and set BC BC freshman passing records with 2,049 yards and 15 touchdowns. He was 149 for 288 (51.7%) passing.

Offensively, the Eagles were also led by Montel Harris, a native of Jacksonville, Florida and a graduate of Trinity Christian, who rushed for 1, 457 yards, which was fourth best in BC history.

Among the names at wide recievers for the Eagles are Senior Billy Flutie and Junior Colin Larmond.

Defensively, Boston College will have to replace five fifth year players. The front line players are expected to be led by seniors Alex Albright and Brad Newman. Luke Kuchly will lead an impressive group of linebackers that should give the Eagles a solid defense.

Looking at BC's schedule, they will start off with two relatively easy games against Weber State and Kent State, before starting ACC play against a very good VIrginia Tech squad on September 25th. Look for BC to battle Clemson and Florida State down the stretch in division play only to come up short in third place.
