South Carolina at NC-State: This is among the very first games of the season and Steve Spurrier begins yet another season at South Carolina. This is also the first of many ACC vs SEC of the young season. Unfortunately for the ACC, the SEC will prevail in a close one by a score of 21-14.
Charleston Southern at #1 Florida: Come on Gator fans, what are you doing playing a team like this. Yeah, I realize that the SEC is tough, but Charleston Southern? Nothing like being a 63 point favorite at home against such a tough team. The Gators should have no problem getting the defense of their championship off to a good start by winning alot to little.
LA-Monroe at #2 Texas: Another top team starting off with a cream puff, but UL-Monroe is in the FBS Division. Colt McCoy will have no problem in leading his Long Horns to a rout at home by a score of 55-10.
#20 BYU at #3 Oklahoma: Here is a matchup that will be worth watching as both teams enter the season ranked. Look for a Sooner victory as they win 24-14.
San Jose State vs #4 USC: Another big boy vs creampuff type game. Trojans win big by a score of 45-17.
Citadel vs #21 UNC: Tar Heels look to be one of the top teams in the ACC and they start off the game with a softy. 'Heels win alot to a little.
#5 Alabama vs #7 Virginia Tech: This should be another entertaining SEC vs ACC matchup between top teams from both conferences. Edge to Alabama by a score of 17-13.
Miami at #18 Florida State: What away to start the season with a rivalry game in the first week. Miami vs FSU is always very entertaining. Noles win at home 37-24.
#13 Georgia vs #9 OK-State: This should be an interesting matchup between two top 15 teams in an SEC vs Big 12 showdown. Bulldogs win a close one late by a score of 14-13.
