Week seven was a very entertaining week for the ACC, as conference play is well under way as teams are now jockeying to play in the ACC Championship game in December. Miami was the only team to play a non-conference game as they faced instate rival UCF. Here is a recap.

C.J. Spiller had a huge game as he ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns in Clemson's 38-3 victory over Wake Forest. Freshman quarterback, a native of Jacksonville, Florida also threw for a touchdown and rushed for another.

Boston College (5-2, 3-2 ACC) with its 52-20 rout of NC-State, took a half game lead over Clemson in the Atlantic Division. Montel Harris broke two school records as he rushed for 264 yards and scored five touchdowns.

Josh Nesbitt and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets pulled out a stunner on Saturday, as they upset the fourth ranked Virginia Tech Hokies at home behind their hard to defend triple option offense which put up 49 points against the Florida State Seminoles the previous week. Nesbitt had 23 rushes for 122 yards and three touchdowns.

The Miami Hurricanes, the only team to play out of conference, defeated a pesky UCF team in front of the biggest crowd ever to witness a game in Central Florida by a score of 27-7. Despite six sacks, Jacory Harris was 20 of 26 passing for 293 yards and a touchdown.

Finally, the Virginia Cavaliers picked up their third straight victory as they downed an inept Maryland team, 20-9, in a cold steady rain Saturday night.
