Week eight is now upon us, as we are now approaching Halloween and the stretch run of this entertaining football season. There are many big games. Here is how I see this week playing out.

Florida State @ North Carolina: For the Seminoles, they have lost three games and are looking to avoid the school's first four game losing streak since 1975. That task will be a tall one, as the defense which has already been struggling horribly is now ridden with injuries. Fortunately, for the Noles they will be facing the worst offense in the ACC. The Tar Heels have a very good defense though. Look for UNC to win at home 31-28.

#2 Florida @ Miss State: This could be a dangerous road game for the Gators. For a team that struggled with five turn overs at home and needed a controversial call to help them win over an unranked Arkansas team, they face a team that will be hungry for an upset. Tim Tebow and company won't go down this week though as they should cruise past a Miss State team that is not very good. UF wins 24-13.

Tennessee @ #1 Alabama: Here is a game that pits two rival teams that do not like each other. Lane Kiffen has the Volunteers playing with a new energy and are coming off a 45-19 rout of Georgia. The Crimson Tide are loking very good on defense, and have been tested early. Running back Mark Ingram is looking to solidify his Heisman Trophy stature. Alabama wins by a touchdown in a close and entertaining football game.

#25 Oklahoma @ #24 Kansas: The Sooners resume their Bradfordless journey, as they will face a tough task in getting back in the win column as they will go on the road to face solid Kansas Jayhawks team. Kansas wins 38-31.

Clemson @ #8 Miami: The Hurricanes are rolling and should have no problem with Clemson. Miami wins 31-17.

#10 TCU vs #16 BYU: The Cougars have bounced back nicely since their early season defeat to the Florida State Seminoles, and are now 3-0 in conference play. They face a solid TCU team that ended their BCS hopes last season. BYU has won 13 straight home conference games. Look for Max Hall to lead his team to a big upset win at home by a score of 21-17.

#6 Boise State @ Hawaii: The Broncos look to continue to push their case for a BCS bid as they will travel to face Hawaii, where an upset loss would be a disaster. With their weak schedule, Boise State has started to lose favor with the voters, and will need to win big to gain their respect. Look for the Broncos to win and win big. Boise State by four touchdowns.

Minnesota @ #18 Ohio State: The Buckeyes are looking to recover after their big loss to an unranked Purdue team last week. Terrelle Pryor and company are looking to avoid their first back-to-back conference losses in five yaers. The Gophers are not a pushover team and could give Ohio State fits. The Buckeyes have homefield advantage and should win a close game by a touchdown.

#13 Penn State @ Michigan: Joe Paterno could have an opportunity to add another win to his lead over Bobby Bowden as his Nittany Lions will travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan to face a solid Michigan squad. The Wolverines are looking for a big win at home. Penn State should come out on top in what should be an entertaining game. Nittany Lions by a touchdown.

Louisville @ #5 Cincy: With Tony Pike's status still uncertain, the Cincinnati Bearcats may have to continue their quest for serious national title contention with a new signal caller. Regardless of who is under center on Saturday, Cincy hopes for its first 7-0 start in 55 years. Louisville is not very good this season, so the Bearcats should still win fairly easily. Cincy wins 33-17.

Others: West Virginia over UConn, Ok-State over Baylor, Oregon over Washington, Utah over Air Force, South Florida over Pitt, TTech over Texas A&M, GT over UVa, USC over Oregon State, Houston over SMU, Texas over Mizzou, LSU over Auburn, South Carolina over Vandy, Navy over Wake, BC over Notre Dame, Duke over Maryland, Nebraska over Iowa State, Colorado over K-State, Rutgars over Army, 'Cuse over Akron, Indy over NW, Purdue over Illinois, Iowa over Mich State, Troy over North Texas, Penn over Yale, FAMU over Norfolk State, JU over San Diego
